Carreno Busta: "Playing matches and getting back into the swing of things is all I need".
Pablo Carreno Busta is in Perth to play in the United Cup. The Spaniard has had a complicated last two years due to an injury to his right elbow.
At 33, he is not giving up hope of returning to his best.
Speaking on the sidelines of the United Cup, he declared: "This is the best possible scenario for getting back into the rhythm of the matches, which is what I need most at the moment.
Last year, I struggled to be competitive at the end because of physical problems, but now I feel 100%, and I know that all I need to do is play matches that will help me get back into the rhythm and build my confidence.
This tournament gives me the opportunity to play two matches, and hopefully more. I want to give 100% and enjoy the experience of representing Spain."
Carreno Busta will face Stefanos Tsitsipas and Alexander Shevchenko.
