Cazaux delighted with the atmosphere at Bercy: "Very, very strong emotions".
Arthur Cazaux, who defeated Ben Shelton on Wednesday evening to qualify for the last 16 of the Rolex Paris Masters, was obviously delighted with his performance. The Frenchman was also enthusiastic about the atmosphere on Centre Court and very much looking forward to facing Holger Rune on Thursday.
Cazaux: "At the beginning of the year, when I played at home in Montpellier against Auger-Aliassime in the Night Session, the atmosphere was just as strong as here. With fewer people, though. So I'd say today (Wednesday) was still very, very emotional.
With all the spectators behind me at every point. They were hot. It was great, I really enjoyed it. What's more, I played my match from the first to the last point. So I'm happy with my performance.
I know Rune well, so he knows me well too. So I know he'll be keen to get his revenge (on their match at the Australian Open). He's a man of character, like me, so I know it's going to be a very interesting match, in different conditions, indoors. I can't wait to get there and see how it goes."
