Chardy on the Djokovic-Murray partnership: "Just because Andy is coming doesn't mean everything will change".
Jérémy Chardy, who has been Ugo Humbert's coach for the past two years, gave his analysis of the future partnership between Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray, which will kick off at the forthcoming Australian Open.
Speaking to the Daily Express, the Frenchman gave his verdict on Novak Djokovic's decision: "For me, they'll do the whole year on the big tournaments and they'll continue if everything goes well.
When you're an athlete, you know that nothing is magic, so it's not because Andy arrives that everything will change.
We need six months to see progress and to be able to work.
This partnership is very serious. Novak isn't here to have fun.
He'll be playing fewer tournaments, as he's getting older, and physically it'll be more difficult, so he'll be trying to be at his peak form at every Grand Slam.
If he has Andy on his team, he's 100% certain to help him."
