Déjà tombeuse de Rybakina au 3e tour, la Roumaine est venue à bout de Bencic en 2 sets. 14 ans après, elle est de retour en 1/4 de finale en Grand Chelem, pour la 2e fois de sa carrière, après Roland Garros 2009.
