Après Kvitova, Bencic, Muchova, Muguruza et Keys, c'est désormais au tour de l'ex 13e mondiale de jeter l'éponge. L'Étasunienne n'est pas remise de sa blessure au genou. Elle n'a plus rejoué en Australie depuis sa finale en 2021.
