Complete suspense for the final Masters tickets!
After the defeats of Casper Ruud and Tommy Paul in their opening matches in Basel and Vienna, the Masters race is once again underway.
The first four tickets to the Masters have already been validated (Sinner, Alcaraz, Zverev and Medvedev), but the last four have yet to be allocated. Taylor Fritz, 5th with 4290 points, is in a good position to qualify.
For the others, the suspense will last a few more days. The defeats of Casper Ruud and Tommy Paul today mean that Grigor Dimitrov (3150 points) and Stefanos Tsitsipas (2915 points) still have a chance, both having won their 1st rounds in Vienna and Basel.
Alex De Minaur is also in a good position, as he is 9th in the ranking with 3395 points and will be playing tomorrow for a place in the quarters in Vienna.
In addition to the suspense in the rankings, Novak Djokovic's absence from Bercy and potentially Turin should also be an important factor.
A withdrawal by the Serb would allow the player finishing 9th in the Race to qualify.
