Davis Cup: Ferrer Explodes at Rune, "He Insulted the Fans"

The former world No. 3, now captain of Spain, sharply criticized the supervisor for the lack of sanctions against the Dane's outbursts.
The Davis Cup match between Spain and Denmark was marked by Spain's historic comeback, but also the match between Pedro Martinez and Holger Rune.
Martinez, ranked 67th, defeated the Danish No. 1, but the match was disrupted by Rune's moments of frustration and his refusal to shake hands with the chair umpire after the match point. The behavior of the world No. 11 did not sit well with David Ferrer, captain of the Spanish team.
At 6-1, 2-1 in favor of Martinez, Ferrer expressed his frustration to the supervisor, criticizing Rune's actions after he had just sent a ball into the stands and received a warning:
"Listen to me. In the first set, he insulted the fans, sent two balls, and you didn't even give a penalty. And now he's coming to me to say something.
He shouldn't come to tell me anything! I'm speaking to you in Spanish because you understand me perfectly. When he hits that ball, he must receive a penalty. He told the people to go fuck themselves."
