After having a break advantage in the third set, Alex De Minaur ultimately lost in a hard-fought battle against Lorenzo Musetti at the ATP Finals, which severely compromises his chances of qualifying.

De Minaur sees qualification slipping away at the Turin Masters. The Australian, who had lost to Alcaraz in his first group match, was leading 5-3 in the deciding set before conceding the final four games.

However, the 26-year-old player is not yet mathematically eliminated and will play for his qualification against Taylor Fritz, hoping for a favorable scenario in the other match between Alcaraz and Musetti. "I think it's better if I don't say what I feel, because it's pretty dark. It was in my racket. It's not the crowd's fault, nor the conditions. It's me. I need to talk about it with my team and we need to find a solution.

If I really want to take the next step, I can't lose these kinds of matches. It's as simple as that. I feel like I've lost a lot of them this year. And at this stage, mentally, it's killing me. I need to fix this quickly.
