En difficulté depuis mi-février, le grand espoir français, 17 ans et 522e mondial, s'est remis dans le sens de la marche. Il a battu Martinez, 120e mondial, puis Gakhov, 147e, aux deux premiers tours et retrouvera Paire vendredi en quarts.
