Despite a comeback, Royer falls to Korda in the final round of Paris qualifying
Sebastian Korda and Valentin Royer were battling for a spot in the main draw of the Paris Masters 1000.
While the American was heading towards a straightforward victory when serving for the match at 6-2, 5-4, the Frenchman managed to fight his way back into the contest to win the second set 7-5.
Unfortunately for him, he was broken in the very third game of the final set and failed to create any break point opportunities to try and turn the match around. He ultimately lost 6-2, 5-7, 6-4, despite strong support from the French crowd.
