In a match with multiple twists and turns, Daniil Medvedev was defeated in the quarterfinals of the Dubai tournament by Tallon Griekspoor (2-6, 7-6, 7-5).

While he seemed in control on the Emirati court, Medvedev saw his match go downhill when he missed four match points at 5-4 then 6-5 on Griekspoor's serve.

In an extremely tense tiebreak where both men were neck and neck, the Dutchman managed to make the difference at 8-7, on his third set point, after a very fine rally won from the baseline.

Completely back in the match, Griekspoor held strong and it was finally at 6-5, on his fourth opportunity and a last unforced error from Medvedev, that he managed to win the match.

After saving three match points against Safiullin in the first round, the world No. 47 did it again this Thursday, securing a spot in the semifinals in Dubai where he will play Stefanos Tsitsipas or Matteo Berrettini.

Hello I'm new

I am surprised about relatively low attendance at Roland Garros which was the most popular slam 20+ years ago. I myself love it as well as really loving aus and us opens. I don't care about Wimbledon, sometimes maybe I can watch women's tennis. I hate Wimbledon's white dress code, I feel like I am watching junior tennis...I watched very few matches like Graf davenport final in 1999 the last time.....
