Dimitrov joins Lehecka in Brisbane semi-final thanks to Thompson's withdrawal
There was no real clash in this quarter-final between Grigor Dimitrov and Jordan Thompson at the ATP 250 Brisbane.
Suffering from a foot injury, Thompson was forced to retire at 6-1, 2-1. The Australian will have a week to heal his foot before taking part in the Australian Open.
Dimitrov is now through to the semi-finals in Brisbane, where he will face Jiri Lehecka, who earlier defeated Nicolas Jarry 6-4, 6-4.
