Dimitrov reaches the second round with ease!
He's one of the main outsiders at this Wimbledon. Grigor Dimitrov, ranked 10th in the world, has earnestly secured his place in the second round of the London Grand Slam.
Facing Dusan Lajovic, the Bulgarian never wavered. Demonstrating his mastery of the surface, he didn't need to force his talent to win in 3 sets and less than 2 hours (6-3, 6-4, 7-5).
Although he didn't play his best tennis, he put in a very solid performance that enabled him to dominate the proceedings.
Sharp on serve (16 aces, 92% of points won on first serve) and very aggressive from the baseline (47 winners, 24 unforced errors), he perfectly dictated the tempo of the match.
In the next round, the 32-year-old will meet 91st-ranked Juncheng Shang, who defeated Garin in the first round (7-5, 6-4, 6-4).
