Dimitrov Withdraws from Stockholm Tournament: Second Major Withdrawal in the Swedish Capital
Grigor Dimitrov still does not know when he will be able to make his return.
Dimitrov suffered a terrible injury at Wimbledon. While he was more than holding his own against Jannik Sinner, even leading two sets to zero against the Italian, the Bulgarian player injured his pectoral muscles after a serve and was forced to retire.
Since then, the world number 27 has been doing everything possible to return to competition. Having withdrawn from the entire North American tour, including the US Open, and the Asian tour, the 34-year-old player will also not be present at the ATP 250 tournament in Stockholm scheduled for next week.
Last year's finalist is not yet recovered and is therefore postponing his return to the circuit. This is the second withdrawal for the tournament, following that of Tommy Paul, the current title holder in the Swedish capital. Sebastian Korda replaces Dimitrov in the draw.
