The surprise semi-finalist from Cincinnati couldn't find the key against Vukic in the first round of the Rolex Paris Masters. A frustrating defeat for the young Frenchman, whose season end darkens before Metz.

While the two Arthurs, Cazaux and Rinderknech, secured their spots in the second round of the Rolex Paris Masters with hard-fought wins, Terence Atmane was unable to follow the positive French momentum on this first day of competition.

Invited by the tournament organizers, the semi-finalist from the Cincinnati Masters 1000 faced Aleksandar Vukic, a player who came through the qualifying rounds.

Despite the crowd's support on court number 1, Atmane fell in three sets (6-4, 2-6, 6-4), marking his fourth consecutive defeat on the tour.

A complicated end to the season for the world number 69, who is expected to conclude his 2025 season in Metz next week.

Vukic, on the other hand, earns a return to the top 100 with this victory and will face Taylor Fritz in the next round.
