Withdrawing from Basel and then Paris, Jakub Mensik preferred to share his thoughts with clarity on social media. Between pride, frustration, and ambition, the Miami winner opened up about a season full of emotions.

After winning the Miami Masters 1000 in March by defeating Novak Djokovic in the final, Jakub Mensik has struggled to string together positive results since. Worse, he ended his ATP tour season with back-to-back withdrawals in Basel and Paris.

On his X (formerly Twitter) account, the young Czech player reviewed his 2025 season, while also confirming his participation for the Davis Cup Finals in November:

"The season has been fantastic in many ways, even if it didn't end the way I would have wanted with withdrawals in Basel and Paris. I've experienced some terrific weeks that I'm really proud of.

Now it's about preparing for the Davis Cup, recharging the batteries... and coming back stronger for the new season.

Thank you for your support throughout the year, for those incredible tournaments, to my team, my family, my loved ones, and my sponsors for being with me every step of the way. See you in Bologna!"

The Czech Republic, led by Mensik, but also Jiri Lehecka and Tomas Machac, will challenge Spain, led by world number one Carlos Alcaraz, in the quarter-finals.

Hello I'm new

2j

I am surprised about relatively low attendance at Roland Garros which was the most popular slam 20+ years ago. I myself love it as well as really loving aus and us opens. I don't care about Wimbledon, sometimes maybe I can watch women's tennis. I hate Wimbledon's white dress code, I feel like I am watching junior tennis...I watched very few matches like Graf davenport final in 1999 the last time.....

It will really be befitting if he attains his 25th Grand Slam crown at the AO for he's truly the GOAT & this will stamp him & endorse his GOAT status without an iota of doubt

Almost as important to Djokovic as Slam #25--and requiring less luck--is beating Federer's total of 103 singles titles. He'll play 250s, and might even surpass Connors's 109.
