Djokovic announces Murray's replacement for Roland-Garros
After the announcement of the end of the collaboration between Djokovic and Murray, many questioned the timing of this decision, just days before Roland-Garros. Present in Geneva where he won his first match against Fucsovics (6-2, 6-3), the Serbian announced that Dušan Vemić would join his team for the Paris tournament:
At 48 years old, this former professional tennis player notably participated in Roland-Garros in 2007. This association is not new, as the two men have already worked together. However, the Grand Slam record holder specifies that this will not be a permanent coaching position:
"I don't need to rush into any choice. I feel comfortable with the people around me for the upcoming tournaments, and we'll see what happens," he stated at a press conference.
