This Sunday, Novak Djokovic missed the chance to reach the milestone of 100 ATP titles. Despite a flawless run to the final—without dropping a single set—the Serbian was halted by an outstanding Jakub Mensik at the last hurdle.

The 19-year-old Czech player claimed his first Masters 1000 title in two tie-breaks (7-6, 7-6). Two days after the final, Djokovic, who had to process the disappointment of this loss on the day of his 60th Masters 1000 final, congratulated his young opponent on social media.

"Congratulations Jakub, this is your moment! Enjoy it and keep pushing yourself. Thank you to the Miami Open—great tournament and incredible support. Hope to see you again very soon," Djokovic wrote on his X (formerly Twitter) account.

I propose the following changes to the rules:

1...a walķover will not be a loss. We have no control of player's health. If he or she is entered in a contest we expect them to play.

2...an incomplete match is not a loss. If a player forfeits we pick another match if there are more to choose.

3...this also applies if TT cancels a match. TT will not take hours to decide an outcome.
