This Sunday, Novak Djokovic takes on Carlos Alcaraz in the Wimbledon final.
While this result is already an achievement for the Serb, given the circumstances, Djokovic is bound to want more.
Injured at Roland Garros, he defied all the doctors' predictions and, somewhat to everyone's surprise, managed to line up for this Wimbledon.
As he prepares to meet up again with his tormentor from last year's final, 'Nole' confided in us about this eagerly-awaited final: "I think he's young, but he's already got three Grand Slams under his belt and he's on course for his fourth. He surprised us all last year by playing and winning Queen's and Wimbledon. The way he's evolved, played these last two years on grass, has been great to watch, to be honest.
I see a lot of similarities between him and me in terms of his ability to adapt and adjust to the surface. I think that's probably his greatest quality: he's able to play equally well on any surface and adapt to any given opponent that day.
So he's a very versatile, all-round player. What he has achieved at such a young age is impressive.
