Djokovic reveals he was poisoned before his expulsion from Australia 2022: I had very high levels of lead and mercury

In 2022, Novak Djokovic arrived in Melbourne with the aim of winning his tenth Australian Open, a feat he would achieve a year later, in 2023.

At the time, the Serb, who had not been vaccinated against Covid-19, was expelled from the country, after a week of upheaval during which he attempted to appeal the decision.

A traumatic episode which he returned to for GQ magazine, also revealing that he had been poisoned in the hotel where he was forced to stay in Melbourne:

"When I came home, I had health problems. And I realized that, in that hotel in Melbourne, I had been fed food that had poisoned me.

I made some discoveries when I returned to Serbia. I never told anyone publicly, but I had a very high level of metal in my body.

Heavy metals. I had a very high level of lead and mercury.

I was very sick. It was like a flu, a simple flu. But this simple flu weakened me enormously after several days.

I had an emergency medical team to treat me at home and I had to undergo toxicology tests."

Why didn't he say that then so that it could have been investigated at a more appropriate time?
