Djokovic Shatters Records After Reaching Another Miami Final
Qualified for the Miami Masters 1000 final, Novak Djokovic continues to pile up records while matching achievements set by other tennis legends.
On Sunday, he will compete in his eighth final at the Florida tournament, tying André Agassi’s mark, who won the event six times. If Djokovic wins on Sunday, he will become the record holder for the most titles (7) won in Miami.
With his 60th Masters 1000 final, the Serb has also tied Roger Federer’s record of 20 consecutive seasons (2000-2019) with at least one final played.
He has also become the second player in tennis history to reach 100 wins at the Sunshine Double (since the Miami tournament’s inception in 1985), with Federer still far ahead at 122 match wins across these two events.
Finally, Djokovic is now the oldest player to reach a Masters 1000 final, at 37 years and 301 days. Federer (37 years and 222 days, Miami 2019) and Rafael Nadal (35 years and 277 days, Indian Wells 2022) round out the podium in this statistic.
