Djokovic still has ambitions for 2025: "I plan to play a few more tournaments than last season"
Novak Djokovic kicks off his 23rd professional season on Monday in Brisbane, playing his 1st round doubles alongside Nick Kyrgios.
Then in singles, he will face Rinky Hijikata, a match which has not yet been scheduled by the organizers.
Speaking to the Brisbane Times, the Serb took stock of his year in 2024, before turning to his objectives for the new season: "It's been an interesting year. My priority was to win gold at the Olympics, and I've done that.
But, in general, I've had more defeats and ups and downs than in previous seasons.
I'm planning to play a few more tournaments than last season, so I hope my level of play will increase.
And I also hope to win a few tournaments and get a higher ranking."
