Djokovic talks about his relationship with Murray: "I feel more and more connected with Andy".
Novak Djokovic won the undisputed shock of the Australian Open quarter-finals.
The Serb, who has already triumphed ten times in Melbourne, has no intention of sharing the bill. The man with 24 Grand Slam titles was more solid to win (4-6, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4) and reach the last four.
After the match, the Serb was asked about his new coach, Andy Murray, who has been with him since the start of the Australian fortnight.
"I feel more and more connected to Andy every day. We face certain challenges on a daily basis, and people don't see that.
We try to get the best out of each other and grow together. He's very committed to this tournament alongside me.
The fact that I went up to him at the end of the match was a gesture of appreciation, a mark of respect for him. Andy is here even though he had no obligation to be here, but he agreed to work with me.
He gives me all his support, as do the rest of the team. It's a very important victory for everyone, including Andy and me, in terms of our relationship.
I can't be anything but grateful to see him here," said Djokovic in a press conference after his victory over the Spaniard.
In his quest for a 25th major title, Djokovic faces a tough new challenge in the semi-finals, when he takes on world number 2 Alexander Zverev.
