Djokovic's incredible reunion with a childhood friend... on a plane!
Novak Djokovic has been enjoying his time off over the last few days. The Serb, who will return to the ATP circuit in early 2025 with his new coach Andy Murray.
Present in Doha for the Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix, the former world number 1 then flew to Argentina where he will play an exhibition in Buenos Aires this Sunday 1ᵉʳ December against his friend Juan Martin Del Potro.
On this occasion, the latter will bid farewell to tennis.
On his Instagram account, the man nicknamed "Nole" shared an amusing anecdote as he boarded the plane for South America.
"I met the pilot. It turns out we played tennis together when we were kids. You won't believe the photo he just showed me," Djokovic first wrote in his story.
In another post, Djokovic posted a photo of himself and the captain, who were indeed both present on the same court.
"We haven't changed at all! We were 12 and 14 respectively at the Niki Pilic Tennis Academy. What an incredible coincidence. It's good to see you again, my friend," he concludes.
