Draper on Sinner: "That's why he's number 1 in the world"
Jack Draper had an excellent US Open.
Surprising everyone and taking advantage of a wide-open draw, he made it all the way to the semi-finals before falling to Jannik Sinner (7-5, 7-6, 6-2).
Asked what made the world number 1 so strong, he explained: "That's why Jannik is world number 1.
Because when you play the best players, the intensity is different.
You know, it's a step up. He's got immense experience already and he's so consistent and solid.
His intensity, his ball speed, he has almost no weaknesses and he's just able to be there point after point and raise his level when he needs to.
Mentally, physically, emotionally, everything is constantly progressing, and he's rock solid in every area.
Sinner, any weaknesses? He doesn't have many... I don't know. Maybe he's too nice (laughs)."
