This Sunday, Jannik Sinner will be facing an entire stadium.

Having qualified for the US Open final, he's about to set foot on an Arthur Ashe Stadium that will do everything in its power to see him lose.

Facing Taylor Fritz in the final, the world number 1 knows what to expect: "It's true, the atmosphere will be great.

We're in America, in New York, and we're playing against an American, so the public will be on our side.

It's normal and I know what it means to be supported by an entire nation.

It's a bit like me when I play in Italy. So I'm just going to accept it. I know I've got my team and my loved ones behind me.

And above all, in my head, I'm going to focus on the idea that I know there are a lot of people watching me from their homes in Italy.

I won't be able to hear them, but I know they'll be there."

The impact of the war on tennis in Ukraine: financial aid, foundations, governing bodies and all‑round headaches

Since February 2022 and the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, Ukrainian sport has been heavily affected by human, structural and economic losses. Tennis has, of course, not been spared. While Ukrainian athletes have had to rethink their entire organization, an entire country, behind the scenes, has had to adapt and change its training conditions. This extends all the way to the highest level, where professional players have spoken out, trying as best they can to help their nation.

As we move to the end of this month and also closing out the year I am wishing all of those following me a Merry Christmas and a Happy/Healthy New Year.

Let's make that wish for all 2000 plus players hoping for 5 wins each day. Hoping ŵhen we open the results page to see all green, and no red. And especially NO CANCELED matches.

From me and my rotti JAZ, I bid you all good night, and see you in...

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Chwalinska and Huergo at the Quito tournament? The match was played to completion and on time. If TT feels the match is one sided, and of course it was, then don't put it up for prediction. This is getting irritating.

The finals are here, and we scramble for the best finish. I've been chasing "King" all year and I was able to shrink the spread a little. Skelp is also closing the gap.

Seasons best to all the regulars in our league.

Will you all be back in the new year.?

Steffi Graf completed a Golden Slam (not just a career Grand Slam) when she was 19. She is the only person to accomplish that, winning the four majors plus Olympic gold the same calendar year.
