Draw for the WTA 500 tournament in Berlin: A Rybakina-Zheng clash from the start, other top 10 members set

Next week, the WTA 500 tournament will take place in Berlin. Nine of the world's top ten players will be present in the German capital and will compete for the title. World number one Aryna Sabalenka will enter the competition in the round of 16 against a qualifier.

In her quarter of the draw, there is a significant clash right from the first round between Elena Rybakina and Zheng Qinwen.
Jasmine Paolini will also face a qualifier, while two other exciting matches will be on the schedule at the start in the Italian's section of the draw.

Thus, Diana Shnaider will challenge Donna Vekic, while Marketa Vondrousova, crowned at Wimbledon in 2023, will face Madison Keys, the Australian Open winner this year.

Sixth seed Mirra Andreeva will open her tournament against Magdalena Frech and could face Amanda Anisimova, if she overcomes Bianca Andreescu. Naomi Osaka will have to defeat Liudmila Samsonova, and the winner of this match will face defending champion Jessica Pegula for a spot in the quarterfinals.

In the final quarter of the draw, Coco Gauff could face Daria Kasatkina in the round of 16, while the winners of the Paula Badosa-Eva Lys and Marta Kostyuk-Emma Navarro matches will meet in the second round.
