Eastbourne: Fourth Final for Fritz and an All-American Showdown Against Brooksby

The Eastbourne tournament will deliver its verdict tomorrow, just two days before the start of Wimbledon.
Taylor Fritz, the defending champion and three-time winner of the event (2019, 2022, and 2024), will play his fourth final after defeating Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (6-3, 3-6, 6-1). The world No. 6 has struggled throughout the week, dropping a set in each of his matches, but he will aim to secure his tenth career title on the main tour.
He will face his compatriot Jenson Brooksby, who overcame Ugo Humbert in a grueling 2-hour, 46-minute battle (6-7, 6-4, 6-4). Brooksby has become the first player since 2023 to reach an ATP final as a lucky loser.
In terms of head-to-head records, the two players are tied with one win each. Brooksby won their 2021 US Open second-round clash, while Fritz triumphed in their first-round encounter at this year's Australian Open.
