Federer Decries "Copy-Paste Tennis": Sinner Half-Confirms
Courts that are too similar, a rivalry tailored to fit, and a game that has become predictable: Jannik Sinner responds to Roger Federer's remarks.
Federer did not mince words. In a bold statement during Andy Roddick's podcast, the Swiss Maestro laid it on the line: the lack of variety in ATP tour surfaces favors the budding rivalry between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz.
When asked about this during his press conference ahead of the Beijing tournament, Jannik Sinner stated:
"Hard courts are very similar to one another. There are times when there are a few changes, but they are minor. Indian Wells is the tournament that comes to mind because the ball bounce is very high. It has been like this for a while, and I don't know if there will be any modifications or not.
For my part, I am just a tennis player trying to adapt as best as possible, and I think I am doing a good job. So we will see what the future holds in each tournament."
