Federer, Sinner, Williams: They Reached 12,000 Points in the Rankings
By winning his final at Wimbledon, Sinner solidified his position as world No. 1. With 12,030 ATP ranking points, the Italian is far ahead of his closest rival, Alcaraz (8,600).
A score few players have managed to achieve, especially since 2009, the start of the new ranking system. Indeed, on the men's side, only five players are on the list: Nadal, Federer, Djokovic, Murray, and now Sinner.
As for the women's circuit, the number is even lower, with just two players: Serena Williams and Aryna Sabalenka (12,420).
However, Sinner will have many points to defend until the US Open (3,200), while his rival Alcaraz will only have 60. The question remains: who will end the 2025 season as world No. 1?
