"I don't know, we drank a lot," Sinner jokes at Wimbledon champions' gala
During the traditional champions' gala held in the presence of Wimbledon winners, Sinner had the chance to share a dance with his female counterpart Swiatek. On site, the world No. 1 didn’t hesitate to joke about the situation:
"Digested (the dance)? I don’t know, we drank a lot (laughs). We got a little dizzy, but everything’s fine. It’s very special to have my family here and the whole team. It’s a very special evening, so you know, seeing Iga with her family and her whole team too. It’s incredible."
For context, Wimbledon has many traditions, as evidenced by this annual dinner held in honor of the tournament's champions. This year, the event took place at the luxurious Raffles London at The OWO, located in the heart of Whitehall.
