Finalist in Dubai, Andreeva enters the WTA record books
Mirra Andreeva qualified for the final of the WTA 1000 Dubai on Friday, defeating world No. 7 Elena Rybakina.
At 17 years and 298 days, she became the youngest player in history to reach the last step of a WTA 1000, since the new format was adopted in 2009.
What's more, by beating Marketa Vondrousova, Iga Swiatek and Rybakina today, she also became the first player to eliminate three Grand Slam winners in the same tournament since Maria Sharapova in 2004 at the WTA Finals.
