"Five consecutive Grand Slam finals, it's truly beautiful," Sinner savors his victory against Auger-Aliassime

Jannik Sinner is in the US Open final. Despite losing the second set, the world number one ultimately prevailed over Félix Auger-Aliassime (6-1, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4) and will face Carlos Alcaraz this Sunday for the title.
The Italian, impressively consistent, has now reached the final of every Grand Slam this season and will need to defeat his Spanish rival if he wants to maintain his world number one ranking. After qualifying at the expense of the Canadian, Sinner is already focused on the final step against Alcaraz.
"Carlos (Alcaraz) has greatly improved his serve. I think he serves much better with a better rhythm. Before, he had a bit more ups and downs; now, he is much more consistent.
There are other things he has improved, but when you're young, in one or two years, you can make big differences. I feel it's the same for me. I've improved my net game. It's not yet at the level I want, but we're working on it. And I've improved my movement and my fitness.
A 27th consecutive hardcourt Grand Slam win and a fifth consecutive Major final? These are incredible statistics. I never thought I would achieve this when I started on the pro tour, and now here I am.
I think five consecutive Grand Slam finals is truly beautiful. The consistency it requires is incredible. After that, what's done is done. Now, I have a very important day on Sunday," Sinner assured L'Équipe in recent hours.
