This Monday, Joao Fonseca climbed to the 48th spot in the world rankings, moving up 6 places. As a result, he becomes the first player born in 2006 to break into the Top 50.
For reference, Carlos Alcaraz (2003), Jannik Sinner (2001), and Rafael Nadal (1986) achieved the same feat.
As for Roger Federer's birth year, 1981, it was Lleyton Hewitt who first entered the Top 50.
