Four Frenchmen, including Gasquet and Pouille, qualify for Brisbane tournament
Qualifying for the Brisbane tournament takes place this weekend before the start of the main draw next week.
Four French players are taking part and will be looking to qualify in the coming days.
For his final year on the circuit, Richard Gasquet, who is continuing his farewell tour, will be up against Australian wild card Derek Pham, currently ranked 996th in the world.
Lucas Pouille's mission is to break back into the top 100, and to achieve this goal he will first have to get past another Australian player, Jason Kubler.
Benjamin Bonzi will face James McCabe.
Last but not least, Ugo Blanchet will also be trying to get through the qualifying rounds. He will be up against Federico Agustin Gomez, an Argentine player ranked 137th.
Also in the qualifying draw are Yoshihito Nishioka, Yannick Hanfmann, Dusan Lajovic and Nishesh Basavareddy, who just played in the Next Gen ATP Finals last week.
