France Defeated by Turkey in BJK Cup
The showdown between France and Turkey in the Billie Jean King Cup did not go as planned for the French team.
Despite being the favorite, Clara Burel was forced to retire due to a dramatic knee injury while leading 4-1 in the first set against Ayla Aksu.
The second match featured Varvara Gracheva against Zeynep Sonmez. This encounter was one-sided, with the Turkish player winning 6-2, 6-1.
Although the doubles match is yet to be played, the French team has already been defeated.
