Fritz confident about his chances of winning a Grand Slam: "I feel it can happen at any moment"

Fritz has qualified for the semifinals of the Six Kings Slam. The American dominated Alexander Zverev in two sets (6-3, 6-4) and advances to the final four where he will face Carlos Alcaraz.
The world No. 4 discussed his upcoming match against the Spaniard and more broadly the possibility of winning a Grand Slam tournament in his career, having reached the final of the 2024 US Open.
"When I played against Carlos (Alcaraz) at the Laver Cup last year, he played incredibly well and I felt like I couldn't do anything. I had no opportunities. This year, whether at the Laver Cup or in the final in Tokyo, I felt that my level was getting closer to his.
I feel I'm closer to him now. I had a tough first half of the season, I didn't play at my best level, and I was sometimes injured. Since we finished the clay-court season, the second half of the season has been great.
I feel that the Grand Slam title can happen at any moment. It's just about having all the planets aligned for two weeks. My level is high when I play my best tennis. I just need to show it in a two-week tournament," Fritz told Punto de Break.
