Fritz defeats Zverev and claims victory in Stuttgart

The number 1 and 2 seeds, Alexander Zverev and Taylor Fritz, faced off in the Stuttgart final this Sunday.

Rain disrupted the match after the first set, which was won by Fritz with a score of 6-3.

The players were able to return to the court about an hour later to resume the match. Strong on their serve, the set was ultimately decided by a tie-break.

A completely one-sided tie-break, won by Fritz with a score of 7-0.

The American claims his 9th career title and becomes the first player of the 2025 season to win a tournament without being broken even once.

Fritz will be at the Queen's the following week, while Zverev will be present in Halle.
