Fritz: I'm much more deserving of a place in the quarters than in 2022.

Taylor Fritz, who defeated Alexander Zverev, will play in the Wimbledon quarter-finals for the second time in his career on Wednesday. In 2022, he lost by a whisker to Rafael Nadal (3-6, 7-5, 3-6, 7-5, 7-6). This year, he will face Lorenzo Musetti.

An achievement for the American, who feels much more legitimate than he did two years ago. Back then, he had only beaten players outside the ATP Top 50 to reach this stage of the tournament. This year, it's after victories over the world No. 19 (Tabilo) and then the world No. 4 (Zverev, his first against a Top 5 player), that he will face Musetti.

As an added bonus, if he qualifies for the semi-finals, he will be back in the Top 10 of the ATP rankings.

Taylor Fritz: "It's going to be a complicated match (against Musetti). He's been playing well since the start of the season on grass. It's the second time I've been in the quarter-finals (at Wimbledon), but this time I feel I deserve it a lot more."
