Fritz Makes a Successful Start at the Rolex Paris Masters Against Vukic
The night session schedule on Tuesday concluded with a match between Taylor Fritz and Aleksandar Vukic, who came through the qualifying rounds.
The two players had a tight first set, with each earning two break point opportunities. A tie-break was needed to separate the two men, which Fritz won 7-4.
The second set was more one-sided, despite a break point opportunity for the Australian. Thanks to a double break afterwards, the American secured a comfortable end to the match, which was also marked by a medical timeout taken by Vukic.
Fritz ultimately wins 7-6, 6-2 and will face either Alexander Bublik or Corentin Moutet in the round of 16.
