Like last year in Melbourne, Caroline Garcia will face Naomi Osaka in the 1st round.

With a new mentality and a rested state of mind, the Frenchwoman is hoping for a much more positive 2025.

Before facing the Japanese on Rod Laver Arena on Monday, the Frenchwoman spoke to Ouest France about her hopes for the new season: "To have a good time on the court. The last year of competition was really unpleasant. I don't want to relive those moments, that's clear.

I'm always a bit apprehensive. But at the same time, when I play every week, I'm stressed too.

I won't be making any big decisions after this tournament. I'm working with a psychologist and doing some visualization. I want to do things differently, to try.

On the court, my style of play will remain the same, so I'm not going to change now (laughs). My state of mind and my intentions will be the key."
