Garcia wins for the first time in 5 months in Doha

Caroline Garcia won her first round match at the WTA 1000 Doha against Yuan Yue 6-1, 7-6.

The Frenchwoman hadn't won since September 2024 and is in search of points to stay in the top 100.

Thanks to a controlled match, particularly in the first set, Garcia has launched her season, which is in need of confidence.

In the next round, she takes on Jasmine Paolini.
