Gasquet accepts a position at the French Tennis Federation
The French Tennis Federation (FFT) announced this Wednesday the integration of Richard Gasquet into a mentoring project, aimed at supporting young hopefuls and sharing his experience with them.
Gasquet, officially retired since Roland-Garros, will also receive support in his post-career transition.
In its press release, the FFT stated: "The French Tennis Federation is pleased to announce that Richard Gasquet is joining the FFT's 'expert' unit. He will hold a privileged position within it and will lead this ambitious project.
The launch of this new structure is part of the high-level strategy driven by the FFT and overseen by Ivan Ljubicic. This 'expert' unit aims to implement a dual mentoring system.
This innovative structure is therefore intended, on one hand, to pass on the knowledge and experience of the best professional players to the young hopefuls of French tennis.
This sharing of experience should promote the professionalization of young talents and enable them to better adapt to the demands of high-level competition in order to perform even better.
On the other hand, through this structure, the FFT will support former champions in their transition, offering them the opportunity to build an ambitious project after their career.
This unit, which will prove beneficial to all stakeholders, will help preserve the legacy of French tennis and enhance its prominence on the international stage."
