Gasquet has chosen his favorite player from the Big 3: "The beauty of Federer's technique—that's tennis"

Richard Gasquet is preparing to retire from his career. After playing over 1,000 professional matches since 2002, the 38-year-old from Béziers announced in recent months that he would end his sporting career following the Roland-Garros tournament this June.
In the meantime, the former world No. 7 had the chance to open the memory box and was asked by Arnaud Clément about which Big 3 player was the toughest to face. The Frenchman took the opportunity to speak in more detail about Roger Federer.
"It’s so difficult to make comparisons. It’s completely irrational. Nadal won Roland-Garros 14 times—there are no words. Novak Djokovic has won 24 Grand Slam tournaments.
If I had to name the most impressive player of the three, I’d say Nadal, at Roland-Garros, on clay. He’s only lost there four times in his entire career.
But for me, tennis is Federer. Technique comes first—that’s the beauty of the sport. When you go to watch a sport, you do it to feel emotions, for the spectacle.
Nadal and Djokovic have incredible qualities, but the beauty of Federer’s technique and the game he was able to display—for me, that’s tennis. Plus, he’s the one who gave spectators the most emotions, and that’s not nothing," he elaborated in recent hours.
