Richard Gasquet bowed out at the end of May at Roland-Garros, defeated in the second round by Jannik Sinner.
Since then, the former French No. 1, winner of 16 ATP titles, has continued to make public appearances, whether at the Hopman Cup where he briefly came out of retirement, or during the Playa Luanco exhibition tournament in early August, which he won against Dominic Thiem.
This week, Gasquet is in Croatia to serve as a sparring partner for the French Davis Cup team. A new role that will also allow him to share his knowledge with the players on site, such as newcomer Corentin Moutet.
The matches will be played on Friday and Saturday with the goal of qualifying for the final phase of the competition in November.
