Gasquet: "There was no ceremony and that's just fine".

Gasquet: There was no ceremony and that's just fine.

Richard Gasquet bid farewell to the Marseille tournament on Tuesday, following his defeat by Alexander Bublik.

A very sober end to the match, in which even the Kazakh asked why he was being interviewed and not Gasquet.

Tributes to retired players are of course at the discretion and appreciation of tournament organizers.

Gasquet said he wasn't disappointed, on the contrary: "There was no ceremony, and that's fine".

He will be at the Pau Challenger next week.
