Gauff on Vukov's suspension, Rybakina's coach: "It's good that the WTA protects players".
Elena Rybakina's case with her coach Stefano Vukov continues to make headlines.
Although Vukov is currently suspended by the WTA, Rybakina continues to work with and defend him.
Present at the WTA 1000 Dubai, Cori Gauff was asked about the subject.
She said: "From what I understand, I know she didn't like her coach's decision to suspend her.
I know that the WTA has the right to protect her. After all, I think it's a good thing that the WTA makes sure they protect players.
I really think it's important in our sport, because very often, the victims don't even know they're victims.
In this sport, this has happened many times. We often see former players talking years after their careers are over about how they were treated."
