Good news for Fritz: The American qualifies for the ATP Finals for the 3rd time in his career
A finalist last year, Taylor Fritz will be in Turin again in November to compete in the Masters tournament featuring the top eight players of the current year.
World No. 4, Fritz has established himself as one of the consistent forces on the tour for several seasons now. The American, winner of the tournaments in Stuttgart and Eastbourne in June, secured his qualification for the round of 16 at the Paris Masters 1000 against Aleksandar Vukic on Tuesday.
Following the defeats of Casper Ruud and Lorenzo Musetti the next day in the same tournament, Fritz received good news as he qualified for the ATP Finals, which will take place in the coming days.
The player, who will face Alexander Bublik this Thursday for a spot in the quarter-finals in Paris, will therefore be in Turin in the coming days to compete in the Masters. This is the third time in his career that Fritz, who celebrated his 28th birthday on October 28th, will play in the Masters tournament after 2022 and 2024.
While he was eliminated in the semi-finals by Novak Djokovic three years ago, the American managed to reach the final last year. After victories against Medvedev, De Minaur, and then against Zverev in the semi-finals, he ultimately lost to Jannik Sinner (6-4, 6-4). He becomes the fifth player to qualify for the 2025 ATP Finals after Alcaraz, Sinner, Djokovic, and Zverev.
