Halep, banned 4 years for breaking anti-doping rules, has had her appeal accepted by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
The CAS has opened proceedings and an arbitral court is being set up to decide the case. A hearing should then take place before the final decision.
If she was a user, why did it take the WTA so many years to pick up? It doesn't make sense that she intentionally took banned substances.
People like this need to be thrown out of the sport with massive fines and retrospective expunging of titles. Even if she has a 4 year ban now, there is an argument that its been 'worth it' on net with all the sucess cheating brought her.
