Swiatek Becomes the 2nd Highest-Earning Female Player in History, Still Far Behind Serena Williams

Reaching the quarterfinals at the Wuhan tournament, Iga Swiatek has just earned $83,250. This prize money allows her to take the second place in the prize money rankings, as reported by the media Punto de Break, with a total of $42,945,490, surpassing Venus Williams who has $42,867,364.

The leader of this ranking is Serena Williams with a very comfortable lead. The American legend has accumulated $94,816,730 in tournament earnings during her career, a gap that is even more pronounced when considering inflation between their respective eras.

In 4th place is Aryna Sabalenka with $42,480,621, followed by Simona Halep.
